Camouflage – “Where Has The Childhood Gone” (Germany Metronome) 1988

Written by Marcus Meyn, Heiko Maile and Oliver Kreyssig (members of Camouflage). Produced by Camouflage and Axel Henninger

Hailing from the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen in the south west of Germany, Camouflage made their first recording, “The Great Commandment” for a small label in Frankfurt. They then signed with the bigger German label, Metronome and began working with record producer, Alex Henninger.

“The Great Commandment” was re-recorded and reached #14 in Germany. On release in the US, the disc reached #59 on the Hot-100 and topped the US Dance chart. Their debut album, “Voices And Images” topped the US Dance album chart twice and yielded four singles; surprisingly “Where Has The Childhood Gone” was not among them.
The group has continued recording until this day; their last album, “Greyscale” appeared in 2015.
